On January 28, 2011, Governor Christopher Christie signed into law P.L. 2011, c. 9, amending and supplementing P.L. 1999, c. 23, establishing a Long-term Capacity Agreement Pilot Program (LCAPP) to promote the construction of qualified electric generation facilities for the benefit of New Jersey's electric consumers. On February 10, 2011, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) issued an Order initiating a proceeding to implement the actions the BPU is required to undertake by P.L. 2011, c. 9, referred to on this website as the LCAPP Law.

Levitan & Associates, Inc. has been retained as the BPU's agent to administer the LCAPP. This website shall serve as a document repository and information portal for the LCAPP process for eligible generators and other interested parties.
